Purpose (Why):

To gain a basic understanding of what Balsa is

Learning Objectives (What):

  • The participants will know to build a Balsa SD card.
  • The participants will know to setup a PC to run Balsa
  • The participants will know how to run Balsa
  • The participants will know how to remove Balsa

Learning Tasks (How):

Connection:

Discuss what Balsa is. Discuss the challenges the instructor has faced getting Balsa to run on his computer.

Content:

Present an overview of Balsa using balsa.pptx.

Challenge

Have the participants produce a Balsa SD card (or flashdrive).

Have the participants set up Balsa on a Windows computer.

Have the participants run Balsa on a Windows computer.

Have the participants remove Balsa from the Windows computer.

Changes:

Have the participants produce a Balsa SD card or flashdrive and then install on a Windows computer on their own.
