This wiki page is for those who are training in ParaTExt 8 and are not actually doing a translation project. When creating a project, you may think project registration is required; but since it is for training purposes only, you do not need to register your project.
Do as you normally would when creating a project. Go to File and then to New Project. Under the General tab, fill in the project name, languages, and project type as you normally would. Here is where things get tricky. Since the option to click Ok is not available, you may think you must register your project in order to create a project. But that is not the case. Do not click on Register online.
The reason you cannot click Ok is not because your project is unregistered but because you have not chosen books to translate. Continue by clicking on the Books tab next to the General tab. Here, you can choose whichever books you plan to translate in your project (if you do not choose a book, you cannot create an unregistered project). Once you've chosen the books, you can click Ok. Then, your unregistered project will be created.
