These instructions are for version 7 and earlier. For version 8 the Hunspell system was chosen to make compatibility with Linux easier. See Spelling Dictionaries on the FLEx website and the FLEx help topic "About spelling dictionary files".
- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\enchant\myspell\
- Copy .dic and .aff files from the dictionaries you downloaded into the myspell folder
- 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Enchant\share\myspell\
- Copy the dictionary files you want from that location to the directory you created in Step 1:
- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\enchant\myspell\
- You can also download dictionaries from http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Dictionaries Once you have downloaded the files, extract them from the .zip or .tar.gz file and copy at least the .dic and .aff file to the \myspell directory you created in Step 1
- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\enchant\myspell\
- Restart FLEx
- Turn on spellcheck dictionaries for your languages in FLEx
- Click on one of the languages in the list and click the Modify… button
- Choose a spelling dictionary from the list at the bottom right of the dialog that appears. Click OK.
