Why use And Bible

And Bible is a native Android app with easy-to-use menus, and great functionality.    It handles most complex, non-roman scripts with ease, and can handle a wide variety of resources in various languages. The user-interface language can be changed – thus making it ideal for our minority language situations (Hindi navigation is displayed here).

One of And Bible's strengths is the ability to display TWO texts at once (split screen). The two texts can be made to automatically scroll together (giving the user a real diglot experience), or can be un-linked so that each is independent of the other. 

Having diglot scripture on mobile devices has major implications for Scripture-in-Use where the LWC is still highly regarded, but much less understood than the vernacular scriptures. The end user can now have BOTH side by side. Touching the little grey square at the top right of the screen conveniently toggles this feature on/off.

A few of the other strengths are: works offline (does not need an internet connection – like YouVersion does) simple (uncluttered) user interface (which can be localized into any language) very responsive (there is practically no waiting for the text to load) ability to find text and jump to it rapidly automatic scrolling of text based on tilting the device some devices allow pinch-to-zoom in/out history of references navigated to is able to work with a subset of scripture (you don't have to wait for the entire Bible before publishing)
