5 Create an on-Screen Keyboard

 

The visual representation is used only in desktop and desktop web; however if no touch layout is defined, this layout will be synthesized into a touch layout automatically.

Copy Your Layout

Open the Hazargi project
Project > Open Project (find hazargi.prj)
Alternative: Project > Recent Project hazargi.prj
Click on hazargi.kmn to open the keyboard
Click the Fill from layout button, click OK to overwrite
Notice the E key (3rd from left 2nd row) changes to the peh
Save the keyboard

Let’s take a tour: 

Text box - what you want the key to look like, multiple possible
Key - preview
Display underlying character layout - underlying layout will show in small letters
Distinguish between left and right Ctrl/Alt - self-explanatory
Display 102nd key - extra key for European keyboards
Auto-fill underlying layout - keys without corresponding rules in the Layout will be filled with the base layout character.
Import - import an xml on-screen layout
Export - export xml, html, .bmp, .png
Code view

On-Screen - Use Image for Key 

Don’t worry about following along (bitmap file attached to the card for this presentation, if you want to follow)
Click Browse button next to Bitmap 
Find your bitmap file, click OK
Note: you’ll want to have the .png as part of your project files
