In Linux, I attempted to sort a file containing a list of variants:

sort < ChumashVariants.txt > ChumashVariantsSorted.txt

The sort worked, except that it ignored the glottal stops (ʔ). How can I tell it to include the glottal stops in the sorting?

I was able to get around my problem by finding a solution that did not require sorting.

This command would sort it after z

&z < 'ʔ'
